About

The Sodus Point Lighthouse Festival, part of the Sodus Bay Historical Society, is a juried event dedicated to showcasing artists and fine crafters in a truly unique setting. Held on the scenic grounds of the historic Sodus Point Lighthouse, the festival celebrates creativity while honoring the region’s rich maritime history.

Perched on a bluff overlooking Lake Ontario, the lighthouse was first built in 1824 and rebuilt in 1871. This picturesque location provides an inspiring backdrop for artists and visitors alike.

The festival has grown significantly since its inaugural year, expanding from 18 artists to space for 40 exhibitors. Last year, attendees traveled from as far as Buffalo and Albany to experience this celebration of fine art and craftsmanship.

Sodus Bay, often called The Crown Jewel of Lake Ontario, is the largest bay on the lake and is conveniently located halfway between Rochester and Syracuse. The festival offers a perfect opportunity to explore this beautiful waterfront community while enjoying exceptional art and fine craft.
