My life has been filled with art. My creativity can be found in many forms:Â Drawing, Painting, Ceramics, teaching, coaching, gardening, cooking, spending time with my grandchildren, and enjoying life on Sodus Bay with family and friends.
I attended RIT and Nazareth College and have a master’s degree in art education; I taught art in the Webster School District for 30 years and retired from teaching art at Schroeder High School in 2021.
I am a wife, mother of 3 sons, grandmother of 6 grandchildren, and have a golden retriever named Cooper. I was a former diving coach and judge at high school, national and international levels.
I enjoy creating art in a variety of media, especially drawing on various surfaces and creating functional and sculptural artwork in clay.
Recently I have focused on ceramics, inspired by nature. I collect flora on hikes through my neighbor’s woods. I use plant life to print and emboss directly into clay to create an impression or embossed plate. Embossed plates create a raised surface in the clay. Details are drawn back into the surface adding unique and personal texture in my hand-built process.
All ceramics are made from high temperature stoneware clay. They are dishwasher and dinnerware/food safe, meant to be used every day.
