John Haldoupis hails from Rochester NY where he has been an award winning artist for over 50 years . Starting with art scholarships to Chautauqua Institution and the National Scholastic. His work has won awards and or been exhibited in Watercolor USA, The National Watercolor Society, The Rocky Mountain National and The Memorial Art Gallery Finger lakes Exhibition, among many others.

His current work explores nature’s elements and the quality of light on the garden and landscape. His tequnique is acrylic glaze over a heavily cracked wood and canvas…. giving the illusion of an old distressed oil.

A theatrical slight of hand honed by his lifelong career as a set and costume designer for the theatre.
